What Does an LFT Measure?

  • ALT (SGPT): Indicates liver cell damage
  • AST (SGOT): Helps assess liver injury
  • Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP): Bile duct health
  • Bilirubin: Waste product processed by the liver
  • Albumin & Total Protein: Liver’s protein production

Why Is an LFT Important?

LFTs help diagnose liver diseases such as hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis, and monitor the effects of medications on the liver.
